Hate Crime Conference at Lloyd House

On the 17th October we took part in a conference organised by WMP which main aim was t to present the latest updates regarding data we hold on Hate Crime (H.C), strategies used in the region and how it compares nationally. We heard from Force Lead for H.C – Mat Shaer; Victim Support, Community Safety Trust and CPS. We were also able to talk to our partners from Tell Mama who presented an overview of their support to victims. Furthermore, this event gave us the opportunity to engage with our colleagues from other sectors.

RES has been consistently advocating for the voice of third sector organisations to be heard and taken into account. We remain full of ideas, passion and dedication to this agenda and welcome all our partners to have a discussion around how to ensure increased reporting and visibility of third party reporting centres in our borough.
