Sandwell New Communities Network was created to keep everybody in the ‘loop’ of what’s happening in the borough around Newly Arrived Emerging Communities. The regular meetings are held monthly. Some of the topics discussed are related to housing, access to education, health, and immigration.
The last meeting took place on 23rd of May. During the meeting Stuart Ashmore from SCVO, gave a presentation on GDPR and Cynthia from DWP gave a presentation on Universal Credit. The next meeting will be in September, 2018, one of the discussions will include BREXIT.
We will also be inviting a solicitor from the European Commission to come and present a questions and answers on people’s rights regarding leaving European Union by the United Kingdom.
