Sandwell and West Birmingham Equality Awards 2017

This is a third year Rights & Equality Sandwell is working in partnership with SWBCCG to host excellence in equality awards.

Building on last year’s success as winner of the Voluntary and Community Faith Award with our Migrant Health project, we were again nominated as a finalist in this year’s Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector Award through our FGM Champions work.

The Equality Awards aim to recognise and celebrate the excellent work undertaken by local groups, projects and organisations, to address inequalities in health and wellbeing experienced by some sections of our local population

The awards acknowledge the CCG cannot address the inequalities agenda in isolation – equality is everyone’s business.

The Equality Awards 2017 recognises and showcase local organisations and groups or individuals that are making a difference to the lives of diverse and vulnerable communities across the CCG footprint.

The award partners are:

• NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)
• Birmingham Voluntary Sector Council (BVSC)
• BRAP
• Rights and Equality Sandwell (RES)
• Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations (SCVO)
